+ earlier, "require ZOOM" would fail, saying "Too late to run
+ INIT block", and "use ZOOM" would result in
+ ZOOM::Error::INIT having a value equal to its name (why?!)
+ rather than, as intended, Net::Z3950::ZOOM::ERROR_INIT.
